The photographs by Nancy Preble and Peter Elias are on display through December at the Woman’s Hospital Association’s rotating art gallery at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

A longtime resident of the Twin Cities, Preble is a self-taught photographer who has practiced this art form as a hobby for many years. She has exhibited in many venues in Maine including the University of Southern Maine, the L / A College Area Artists Show in 2011, 2013 and 2015, the 2003 Fryeburg Fair in 2016, exhibit at Cumberland County Fair from 2004-2016 and Sportsmen. of the Maine Show from 2011 to 2016. She won numerous recognitions and awards for her work, including a second prize for her “Winter Wonderland” image in 2002 on the website.

Dr Elias has lived in Auburn since 1977, raising a family, practicing medicine and enjoying the best of Maine. Since retiring after 4 decades as a family doctor, he has had more time to devote to some of his other passions, including hiking, Nordic skiing, woodworking and photography. This exhibition clearly reflects the way he enjoys spending his time.

The works on display can be purchased at the WHA gift shop located next to the main lobby of Central Maine Medical Center. Due to hospital security measures due to the pandemic, the art gallery is currently only available to staff, patients and their designated visitors. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale goes to CMMC patients.
