Swarajya’s Swati Goel Sharma Awarded for Contributions to Journalism; Columnist Shefali Vaidya for his contributions to art and culture


Swarajya’s Editor-in-Chief, Swati Goel Sharma, was recently honored for her contributions to journalism in the English Journalism (Print, Digital and Broadcast) category at the Organiser-Panchjanya Conclave, held in New Delhi.

Author, speaker and social media activist Shefali Vaidya was also recognized for her contribution to art and culture in digital media.

These awards were presented by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma and Sunil Ambekar, during the Media Mahamanthan conclave organized in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the organizer of RSS publications – Panchajanya.

The conclave was held in Delhi to celebrate the platinum jubilee of one of the oldest and most widely circulated weeklies, which came into being a few weeks after partition.

Awards were given to winners in nine categories for work done in the calendar year 2021. Hindi (print, digital and audiovisual), English (print, digital and audiovisual), regional language (print, digital and audiovisual) , environment (print, digital and audiovisual), science and technology (print, digital and audiovisual), business and business journalism (print, digital and audiovisual), sports (print, digital and audiovisual), arts, culture and entertainment (print, Digital and Broadcast) and the Creative Campaign Award with two special awards will celebrate Atal Bihari Vajpayee (Excellence in Hindi Journalism) and KR Malkani (Excellence in English Journalism).
