52 commercial vehicles provided to unemployed youth in Pulwama



A detailed review of the achievements of various Mission Youth programs took place today at a District Level Task Force (DLTFC) committee meeting chaired by Pulwama Supplementary District Development Commissioner Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz.

Special Duty Officer for Mission Youth and Head of Pulwama District, Mohammad Shafait assessed the meeting on various initiatives related to livelihoods, skills, career and psychosocial counseling, detoxification, recreation and counseling. social commitment of Mission Youth.

DLTFC was briefed on the goals and objectives, eligibility criteria, selection process and funding model under various Mission Youth programs such as Tejaswini, Mumkin, Rise Together (Community Entrepreneurship), SAHAYTA (Youth in Distress) ), Spurring Entrepreneurship, development of the network of tourist villages. , dental clinic program, skills development, AVSAR, PAARVAZ, creation of district youth centers and youth clubs, collaborative initiatives with universities, JK Super-75 (boys and girls), Nav Parivartan for holistic engagement and pragmatism of young people and their empowerment along sustainable lines.

The meeting was further informed that under the Mumkin program, 52 utility vehicles are provided to unemployed youth, while Mission Youth contributes Rs. 39 Lakh grant and another 100 cases are being prepared for disbursement.

Under Tejaswini, 70 requests are received and are being processed for sanction. 5 other villages, including Aripal, Shikargah, Paner Jagger, Sangerwani and Naristan, are identified to be developed as tourist villages with advanced infrastructure.

Referring to the unspent amount of Rs. 29 lakh grant under the Mumkin program, ADDC ordered AD Employment to have the DLIC responsible for disbursing outstanding cases within a week. .

Referring to the LG administration’s instructions to provide self-employment for 5 young people per panchayat in the district, ADDC asked the relevant person to finalize the process of identifying the beneficiaries of the wise panchayat and involve them in various livelihood initiatives of Mission Youth.

He also called on the relevant officers to sensitize the masses to these mission mode freelance work programs so that the public can benefit.
